Spring has arrived

Today was the first day of real spring weather in Washington. It was 72 degrees today with crystal clear blue skies. The sun warmed us inside and out as we lounged around in it. Adelaide discovered some of the great things about grass. She played with her Aunt Emily, took bike rides and wagon rides. She played in the sand, sat in trees, picked flowers, squealed at bugs, raked twigs with Grandpa, and had a picnic lunch. The weather was so nice that Grandpa barbecued spared ribs and we sat outside at the picnic table and ate our dinner. Dad caught a picture of Emily, Mom and I in the sun reading. We all finished the day tired with pink sunburned cheeks. Addie insisted on an early bath and bedtime. It was a great way to welcome the spring.
