We celebrated with my cousin Ezinna for her 8th birthday on Saturday. Addie wanted desperately to be included as one of the "girls" for the party. She kept peaking in the bedroom where the girls were playing and was disheartened when she was clearly not welcome. She positioned herself as close to the birthday girl as she could when it was time to open gifts. Addie was also first to jump for joy when my aunt announced it was time for ice cream and cake.
