last Halloween hurrah

We've been celebrating Halloween for quite some time now.  October 31 was the last Halloween celebration of the year with trick-or-treating at the US Embassy.  The kids wore their costumes one last time and paraded around the compound collecting candy and being frightened by perfectly nice people in horrific masks.  The Ambassador even posed for some photos with the kids.  It was a well organized event, which can't always be said about things like this.

Mommy gave me my very own sugar cookie
Adelaide asked on the way home if this was the "only Halloween we were going to have" and "what about trick-or-treating when it's dark?"  After an entire month of Halloween prep, parties, and costume trick-or-treating celebrations, I am just about done with Halloween this year!  It was a great holiday, but I think it's time to take down the ghouls and spiders and pack them up for next October.

The costumes look sooo cute on the girls! And I love that they still wanted more Halloween! After all you guys did for the holiday! :) So excited now to look forward to Thanksgiving! You have big Turkey dinner plans? Can not wait to see the food you come up with!!

The girls do look adorable in their costumes but yeah, Halloween is no longer just one thing. It goes on and on...
