My sister Megan is a super star Auntie. She has been so helpful since she got here. She plays with Addie, gets her lunch, holds Bella, helps with bath time and bed time, and so much more. A good example of the kind of Auntie Megan is: she took Addie for a walk and they found big pine cones. Megan helped Addie made bird feeders with peanut butter and bird seed! Now that's a cool Aunt. It's awesome to have such great help. Thanks Megan!
I wonder if kids are preprogramed for some things; like stomping in mud puddles, licking the last of the ice cream out of the bowl, and running through the clothes on the clothes line? I ask this because as a kid I did these things and now Addie is doing them too. I never showed her how so the only thing I can figure is that it's innate behavior. 
Bella is starting to get baby rolls! She's growing before my eyes. All of a sudden she has a double chin and that cute inner thigh roll that is the first to appear and the last to disappear. I think Addie still had her inner thigh roll at like 16 months, maybe older. The rolls are super cute on Bella and it confirms that she's getting enough to eat! 
After babies I desperately feel the need to give myself a make over This time around I feel even more impatient to have my body back as soon as possible. Pregnancy brings out the frump in me. Big huge jeans and oversized shirts; plus ugly comfortable shoes all for the sake of reproduction. I'm fine with it for the 40 weeks. Afterwards, I need to get my groove back asap. Today I cut my hair. I desperately needed it done. Bella was getting her fingers wrapped in it and I had been wanting a new style for awhile (but trying to avoid short hair while big and pregnant). Pony tails have been my friend for a long long time. Yesterday, Megan graciously accompanied me and the girls to the Nordstrom Rack for a few minutes (exactly 30 min before Addie pooped her pants, wanted out of her stroller, and was on the verge of a meltdown) of shoe shopping. I never have a hard time finding shoes I like so I found a pair even in the short time I had to look. Buying new impractical shoes felt glorious after almost a year of no desire to shop for my big pregnant self. I'm slowly getting my groove back and it feels good. Now I just need a hot date with my gorgeous husband and a glass of wine. All in time I guess.
While growing up, I husked my fair share of corn on the cob. Mom would put the bag of corn on the back step and enlist my sisters and I to husk it for dinner. Sunday evening I enlisted Addie for help with the corn. It wasn't considered a chore since it was such a novel task. She did a really good job and the corn was delicious.
Megan, Emily, and I took the girls for a picnic on Sunday. The weather was perfect and the air was breezy and fresh. Addie thought it was really cool t o eat her lunch on a blanket on the ground with her Aunties. Bella slept soundly in her car seat for awhile then smelled lunch and wanted some herself. Addie went down the really tall slide all by herself. She's land on her bum every time; get up; and run to do it again.
